Catering FAQ

  1. If I have food leftover at my event, can I take it with me?

For health and safety reasons, all food must be consumed on the premises, and no food shall be taken from the event venue. Should you have food leftover at the end of your event, we encourage you to contact the Catered Cupboard at 559.278.FOOD (3663) and let them know where food is available and what time students can come in, maximum 20 minute window. A push notification will be sent to students letting them know where to go. We encourage you to stay after the event to welcome students into the room and enjoy the food in the space in which it is being served; no food can be taken from the event. The Catered Cupboard is available Monday-Friday 8 a.m. to 8 p.m. For more information, please visit www.fresnostate.edu/foodsecurity

  2. If I have an event where not all guests show up, do I still have to pay for those meals?

University Catering requires a firm and final count seven (7) business days prior to your event date, and we prepare and provide food based on that count.

  3. What is the earliest I can place my Catering orders?

We encourage you to place your orders as soon as you confirm your event date. It is okay if you do not have a finalized menu or guest count yet, simply provide us with estimates and your event will be placed on our master calendar of events.
